That’s a great answer, and I couldn’t be happier for him. He’s got an incredible talent for making others feel better through laughter so I am glad to know he’ll be around a while longer. We often shame celebrities for using drugs, but never question the stress and anxiety they are under to be perfect when in the public eye.

Well said. Never having an addiction, knowing others who did, sobriety is something bigger than the substances.

Sobriety and abstinence are two different things. Sobriety is a way if life. I don't think about drinking much. I do try to be diligent about the way I live my life. I don't want to live my life the way I used to. I'm 36 years sober.

Thinking about your drug of choice and thinking about maintaining your sobriety are very different things, John!
