As French, I agree 100% with your analysis. If someone had told me just 2 months ago that I would be supporting Boris Johnson actions, I would have laughed.

As a German I just want to say that we are working on turning our government around. If you talk to ordinary Germans you realise there has been a deep and lasting change in their mindset. Things won't just go back to normal. Up until now most Germans thought that as long as we don't want war there won't be war (because for the last 200 years thats basically how it was for Germany). But now even the last pacifist here realised what everbody in eastern Europe already knew: Even if you want peace you can be forced into a war. Thats a deep and permanent change of the German mindset. Germanys slow reaction to events in Ukraine is therefore just the last frantic twitching of a dying worldview. It will take some time until the last politician will realise that their decades old believes are dead for good. But you can currently see in realtime how exactly that is happening. I'm absolutly sure that Germany won't go back to the status qou.

It's also kinda surprising to see my usually pro-russian Slovakia kick in such high gear to help Ukraine. We sent a crap ton of our equipment, our only long range AA system (the s-300), we have offered to take ukranian vehicles for repair in our territory (the ones we know how to use so btrs, bvp-1 and 2s, truck$ etc.), our president has created an independent unit to help monitor/register all war crimes to help with proving that they happened and the offer for the mig-29s is once again on the table. Can't say I'm complaining though. Sláva ukrajine! 🇺🇦 🇸🇰

Only post east Soviet block countries can fully understand the friendly hand of Russia. That's why they are helping so much

The Moskva was claimed to be one of the strongest ships in the Soviet Navy, and even was claimed to be stronger defended than the best warships America had to offer. Truly, this signifies the death of the old order, and confirms Russia's true state in world affairs.

What I learned from this video... The Ukraine military KNEW Russia was going to invade, but they couldn't announce it, nor could they mobilize because, A) it would have caused panic, clogging the roads, and B) it would have given Russia the ability to false flag some of their own troops (sitting just across the border on the Russian side) and then say, "See, we are invading because we were attacked!"
So the only reasonable thing the Ukraine military could do, is to do NOTHING. Don't announce; because you don't want your streets clogged with refugees. And, Don't mobilize your military, because you don't want Russia to use that as a cover for Ukraine aggression against Russia.
Brilliant. Brutal, but brilliant.

Insights at the end about Ukraine's informed decision not to announce the impending invasion are profound - your work continues to provide some of the best commentary on the War, and we are all so thankful for your insights~ Keep it up!

As a German it is frustrating to see that our goverment is being so incopetent.
Not only the current "new" one but also the Merkel one who should had a plan B for the gas and oil problem for a case like this.

Also, our energy prices are skyrocketing and they turn ofd the nuclear power plans while not supporting solar/Wind energy as much as they could.

As the Russian living in Czech Republic, I can't help but feel intense pride for the Czech people to stand up and offer a helping hand to nation in need. It's not GDP that makes country great. It's moral determination of it's people.

Man, please, make a video about Ukrainian weapons. Everybody is talking about how javelins and nlaws are great, and they are, no doubt, but Ukrainian Stugna is not worse. Ukrainian Neptun has also proven its effectiveness (Moscow did sink, lol). It's so painful that my country could make such great weapons and haven't made enough of them

I'm german and I gotta say I agree with you for the most part. I can understand why our government is slow to act. Our industry rn is just too dependant on russian gas and I can see why they ain't cutting it off yet. But other than that, I'd wish our government would send more weapons to support ukraine. The fate of our values, our rights and our very way of life is depentant on ukraine. If Ukraine falls, who knows what will happen. But I sure hope ukraine will come out on top, join the EU and/or NATO.

Oleksiy Arestovych is a brilliant guy. I listened to that interview with him from 2019 a couple weeks ago and it's shocking how spot on he was. His understanding of geopolitics and Russia is exceptional.

I liked that part where you said that “100 tanks just disappeared from Poland”, who knows where they are now :))
