How to Easily Install .APK Apps on Your Chromebook

In this ‘how to’ video tutorial I’ll show you how you can easily install APK (Android Package Kit) application files on your Chromebook in ChromeOS WITHOUT the need to Power Wash (factory reset) your Chromebook to move it to the Developer Channel ChromeOS build. You might want to do this when an APK file isn't available in the Google Play Store for your Chromebook.

Linux commands that I show in the video:

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -y

sudo apt install adb -y

adb devices

adb install FILE NAME.apk

#chromebook #chromeos #apk #sideload #appinstallation

When I put in the first two commands, the "develop android apps" doesn't show up, do I need to put in the other three commands as well?

Mote of your time, if you please; I did this in the exact same way as you did, yet it tells me that there is no such file or directory. Yes, I made sure it was in the Linux files, I did the commands, even deleted and redownloaded the file I'm trying to install, yet all I get is a "no such file or directory". Any pointers?

I didn't get the develop andorid apps message option after the 1st two commands. Does this have anything to do with me being in developer mode?
