I'm 54 years old and got back into snowboarding 3 years ago after a 10-12 year layoff. Dusted off my 2000 Custom and ride it like I was 26 again. It's fast and carves like a dream (east coast). I see all the new boards and shapes (different noses in particular) and wonder if I should upgrade but it's hard to imagine anything that rides as nice as my 2000.

The Burton Custom is a great board, their Family Tree line of boards are nice too. Great edge control even in hard packed or icy conditions.

My 1st board is the Burton custom, I believe it’s fine in the power for me, I was just at snowbird, plenty of fresh powder and had no issues with it. Love this board and don’t think I’ll need another.

Custom is like a high end dirt bike no matter how much you give it’s got more ! SR / ME - White Heat , clocked 62mph on a Custom 158 didn’t feel too much chatter and it held the edge, honestly felt like I was flying on that thing- I’ve retired it as a full timer, and only use for the knarly days on the east
I thinks it’s an 2011, definitely a stiffy, I just may have to upgrade after watching this !

I still rip Burton A-Series (aka '90s). Still a "Best Board" 20 years later. Handmade, camber, wood core. fast base. Prove me wrong....
