Going Above and Beyond for Change with Filiz Bikmen
Filiz Bikmen imagines a world where all people encounter the question, “What if?” with hope and inspiration. Bikmen was intrigued by the idea that people can change their minds and lives by being more optimistic, investing in their talent, and abandoning convention. She also realized that she could be that person to help people do exactly that.
Filiz Bikmen is a Turkish American who has been working with NGO’s to promote social justice and philanthropy in Turkey since 2002. She is now the Director of Programs and International Relations at the Sabanci Foundation, Vice Chairman of the International Center for Not-for-Profit Law, and is a Fellow at the Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society in New York.
