Embracing Damage - Kintsugi Pots for FREE

In this video we will show you how to upcycle your broken IKEA pots (or any broken ceramics you have at home) for almost FREE with the aesthetic Japanese mending method of Kintsugi (the golden joinery).
Kintsugi is a japanese art form which is often associated with Wabi Sabi, seeing beauty in imperfection. However, we took a few shortcuts and liberties repairing our pots and built them the IKEA way. With just a few tools you can create unique pieces of art at home, basically for free.

I've got a broken pot that needs mending and this might just be the motivation I needed to fix it!

Looking forward to this. I have a broken pot that I've held on to for a few years with the hope of mending somehow.

Neat!
Having always lived under an hour away from an IKEA store, ordering from them is quite alien to me... 😅
And IKEA stands for Ingvar Kamprad (the founder) Elmtaryd (the farm where he grew up) and Agunnaryd, the nearby town where he started the business.
