Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar asked the Central government to let the states conduct the Medical exams after the NEET UG 2024 ‘grace marks’ row. Over 24 lakh students appeared for NEET exam at 4,750 centres across 571 cities, including 14 international locations. The result was declared on June 4, which immediately caused a hue and cry with aspirants raising multiple issues, such as the awarding of grace marks to over 1,500 students, an unusually high number of students achieving perfect scores, and allegations of a leaked question paper.

There should be strict punishment for a person involved in a scam, with at least 20 years in jail and a significant fine

States doing every possible crime in state PSC exams now they want to extend it to medical sector. Hope centre correct its loopholes and make it straight without states interference.

If states conduct the exam itself won't be there. NEET is being attacked for different reasons

There was a reason why a national level exam came in the first place. If u give it to state govt., they will ruin it for politics by giving reservations. A national level exams is good for competition.

We people of karnataka are really unfortunate. Let states conduct their own medical entrance exams and give 10% reservation for outsiders. In karnataka we have around 60+ medical colleges and only 20 to 25% students get into medical from karnataka remaining is outsiders. Cancel NEET and give the power to respective states
