Global streaming giant Netflix has lost around 200,000 subscribers within 100 days which has ultimately resulted in the fall of its value and 25% drop in shares in extended trading. This is the first time in over ten years that the global streaming giant has lost its subscribers and experienced such a huge loss.

According to the company, the reasons for this loss of subscribers include major factors like inflation, the Russian invasion of Ukraine and fierce competition. During the war between Russia and Ukraine, the streaming service has withdrawn services from Russia to protest the war against Ukraine and this resulted in the loss of 700,000 subscribers. The company is projecting a loss of another 2 million subscribers in the 2nd quarter of this year.

Trust me shareholders Ukraine was not the reason why I unsubscribed. I unsubscribed bc im not paying $19 a month to watch movies from 20 years ago. I hated most of the new shows. Combine the to expensive prices with the lack of content and the controversial immoral shows and scandals I felt it was best to walk away. I may come back eventually but not for a while.
