Muse's bassist had this doublenecked with a regular bass last night. I'm 46, been playing for 30 years, and I was impressed. Don't mistake a demo video for what an actual performance can be.

As a guitarist who has been playing for 10 years and who has been working a session musician for a good 3, i find this thing is AMAZING. Why? Because--I can't play keyboard. My brain just doesn't fit with a keyboard. And as a session musician, being able to play a synth is a great tool. This thing DOESN'T replace my guitars. Nothing does. That's because a guitar is a guitar. This is a SYNTH shaped like a guitar so that it's easier for us guitarists to play a synth when they need to.

This thing is going to blow minds with electronic/techno bands! A lot of people don't understand that this is made so that guitarist can control synth, without knowing how to play keyboard. It's the guitarist version of synth, so if you don't like synth, then don't bash it. It's a genius idea.

@hashishin777 It's not meant to be a replacement for guitars but to be an addition to the range of musical instruments that can be in use.

@kjmcc2 Not really, he has a Kaoss pad on his guitars. This is more like a synth with an X/Y modulator.

@CleverNameHere81 But you see that it DOES have potential, which is a very good thing. I don't fully understand how it works either, but in the right hands it will be used very creatively.

Funny how no-one complains about MIDI pickups or effects pedals.

I hope so. Unless there was a major flaw, they should have released what people originally ordered. Just like any computer device, a newer version will always be desired. I hope the wait was well worth it.
