Most Bonsai enthusiasts started their hobby purchasing a finished Bonsai tree, bought in a Bonsai shop or received as a present. It is a great way to get started and get a feeling for the basic care for Bonsai trees. Once you get enthusiastic about Bonsai you can eventually learn to create them yourself.

I love bonsais. Resently I bought some bonsai and I keep them in my verandah. In day time there are lots of bright lights, but no direct sunlight. Is type of light condition ok with my Boxwood, Ficus and Jade plants ?
Thank you.

I disagree with encouraging people to buy those mass produced plants chinese elms, ficus, apple, etc. Perpetuating disappointments! I did that mistake trying to save money or not knowing better, those 'S' trunk plants are simply hopeless! much better is to buy a good nursery, 'second hand' or collect plant to work with. Also buy a plant that you like, learn to grow it and do take care of it.. Is not as difficult as some try to put it!
