Dracunculus Vulgaris Dragon Arum Voodoo Lilly

Smelly flower, dracunculus vulgaris, smells like rotting meat, highly colourful and the petal is like red velvet, with a solid stamen, with a receptacle at the bottom of the flower almost like a pitcher plant. The plant grows from rhizomes. I think it was about 35 degrees celsius the day I took the video.

my late father grew one of these. he was so proud of it. i have dug it up and hope to let it keep on growing. there are many shoots on it, so fingers crossed.

They are pretty hardy. You have to get all the tubers to completely remove them.
