Private astronaut sets HALO formation-flying skydive record

Private astronaut Larry Connor and the U.S. Air Force Special Warfare Pararescue Specialists made history on Sept. 28, 2023 with the highest-altitude formation HALO (high altitude, low open) jump ever. They dove from an altitude of 38,000 feet (11,582 meters).

Connor flew to space with aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon for the Axiom Space Ax-1 mission.

Really cool. It does make me think though.. would this not be more impressive jumping from a low altitude? The higher up you jump from, the more time you have to get in formation!

Hehe they spent longer than that around the Chinese Communist spy balloon. Giving them the finger before unplug their equipment was funny.
