The New Platoon System will Change Helldivers 2 Forever

The DSS has begun it's construction and everyone's curious about what it's going to mean for us going forward following the major buffs in the previous patch. This new space station will be bringing the new platoon system as well as many new powerful stratagems and weapons for us to use in Helldivers 2, and i've made this video to tell you all you need to know about what comes next.

Correction, it is not Automaton space. It is Super Earth space currently under hostile occupation by the automatons. You might want to have a chat with your Democracy Officer. He'll steer your wording the right way.

According to the new major order, it seems that the purpose of the DSS is to be a weapons platform that allows Helldivers to use DSS weapons on a planet that it orbits. There is gonna be a voting system for which Helldivers would be able to vote where it should go to assist in the liberation of (any) planets. It may have other utilities other than a weapons platform but that remains unconfirmed. Hopefully we can have a clan system that comes with it like you speculated.

Not sure if you saw the dispatch from High Command in the AH Discord - but I don't think there will be platoons for many many MANY months. The DSS just appears to be a voting system to send the station to a particular planet, which will provide some access to strats.
