A Brooklyn lawyer admits he's guilty of loving military history. As CBS2's Lisa Rozner reported, his law offices are like museums, with his collection of thousands of Civil War military figurines. So along with legal advice, his clients can take a trip back in time.

My uncle had a cabinet full of toy civil war soldiers in an office in his home. I would sit and stare and imagine the battle scenes. I didn’t dare touch them. Rules of the house...

It's even better when you realize there about 20-30 dollars a piece

I received my first Civil War set when I was 5, all plastic and all one color. My dad loved the Civil War and had toy soldiers when he was young. Over the years, I added more figures to my collection. Britains LTD, I think, were painted and about $1.75 each when I was young, 1970-80's. A few hurricanes tried to claim them over the years, but I saved them fortunately. I became a teacher of American History and still continue my collection. I painted all my plastic ones very nicely, and I have about $7, 500 of the ones made of pewter like this gentleman. I am very proud of my plastic and pewter figures and devised some rules similar to Games Workshop's Warhammer games using dice to simulate battles with my son. Hopefully I will have a grandson or two to continue. My dad would always get down on the floor and we would set up battles against each other. He always won, lol. Great memories. I wish dad was still around to beat me at another battle again. Thanks for that first set dad.

Stop sending them to Sri Lanka, there are perfectly good commission painters here in the States that will give you a bulk/returning customer deal.

WOW! That's wonderful. What a commitment! Incredible collection and fantastic displays. I can almost hear the 'Battle Hymn of the Republic' in the background.

Rick (From pawn stars): I really like the figurines you got, the best I can do is five bucks and not a penny more.

I'm guessing this man appreciates Indian in the Cupboard. We should start a Kickstarter to get him one of those cupboards.

I collect Toy Soldiers too. You end up doing quite a bit of research and aquiring quite the library to go along with it. That's an awesome collection I can appreciate the effort and expense to put it together.

He would never get close to $300, 000 for those figures. That would only be his asking price.

I like soldiers too, I like the fact you like real history and not fantasy. I have a large collection of toy soldiers and their all based on real life people. I have American civil war figures, British WWI, Japanese WWII, American Vietnam soldiers, Modern day Israeli troops, Ancient Roman and Persian soldiers, Knights, Native Americans, Russian WWII, Canadian, N Korean figurines, German WWII and some old aluminium antique figurines too.

To each their own I personally love 1/6th scale figures, have always been impressed with these though. The amount of detail that one puts in something so tiny is amazing!
