At long last, after all the time spent farming gold we FINALLY have enough money to buy what is undeniably the best item in the game: The Dark Adventurer Sails.

The DA Sails are the most sought after cosmetic in the game because they actually give you a tangible advantage in PvP-- But to get our hands on them, we have to finish our gold farm. So let's get that last 1 Million Gold loot haul done so we can actually buy these sails!

The most expensive piece of loot however, is not a grade 5 flag, a reapers bounty or a chest of legends anymore. It’s a CAPTAINS LOGBOOK. if a ship survives 8 hours on the sea without being sunk, it’s worth 25k to reapers, and with a grade 5 flag and the 2.5x bonus from it, meaning the new most expensive item on the sea is a book

YEah, those sails really ARE great and fantastic to have on the big ships, sure would be a shame if Rare turned around an- woop, nevermind, they already did it, they ruined the sails. They still cost over 8 mill but now there's no reason at all to get them

I find it really funny that Rare changed the sail to have the cut out on the sides of the sail, not the bottom, me, and my friends got a real kick out of it

They're totally worth it for the improved view, especially on the brig. You can actually see with the sails down. That said, they draw attention. People think (1) you're sweaty or (2) you're rich and probably carrying loot so they come for you. I notice when I run these I get into way more PvP.
