this is my favourite origins pack that changes default origins to be honest, it changes stuff to a point it's different, but doesn't change it too much to the point it's unrecognisable.

I know I'm quite late to the party but for anyone trying to find this mod its now called "Dan's Re-Worked Origins " took me a solid 10/20 min to find it with origin plus

The levitation power probably still uses the levitation status effect. The reason the bee origin would clear naturally applied levitation is probably either

A: It was made before the change to potion effects where if you apply a strong effect on top of a weaker version of the same one, the weaker one will stay there and will return to effect when the stronger one disappears if there's duration left. I don't remember what update did this and neither does the wiki.

or B: The bee was badly coded and used a clear effect to stop you from levitating, inadvertently clearing natural shulker applied levitation along with it.

When I first heard about Minecraft origins, I couldn’t help but wonder how each race would function as a society so I am going to try and speculate. I am going to theorize on how these different races would operate in a shared world of Minecraft labelling how their strengths, weaknesses and of course origin affect their ways of life. (If you do not like reading just leave while you can)


Enderian: originating from the end these endermen like people can be occasionally seen in the overworld and rarely in the nether. They teleport often like there cousins but are a lot more precise about where they are going, they live in small communities or alone in any land they deem fit except oceans, swamps, lakes, and rivers for obvious reasons. Personally, they prefer living in the end islands and are neutral by nature they will almost never start a fight, but don’t hesitate to fend for themselves.
Weaknesses: Water and Pumpkins
Strengths: Teleportation and reach

Slime: Originating from slimes they are bouncy and roam the swamps and numerous biomes of the overworld. They most likely enjoy roaming in water filled caves and dripstone caverns. They are almost always with other slimes bouncing in in their caverns or near other shallow water sources. This is for a good reason they prefer to avoid fire-based damage burning could render their survival capabilities useless. One of their abilities is to shrink to a smaller size when near death to become a harder target. However, fire damage can stack and kill them quickly making this ability ineffective. They are curious but territorial they tend to like to keep people away from there damp homes.

Strengths: High jumpers and no fall damage
Weaknesses: fire and Exhaustion

Avians: Are near weightless people which is most likely achieved because of massive lungs and Light bodies. They inhabit mountains and cliffsides they do not fear heights, and love having the high ground. They are always traveling from mountain to mountain setting up camp to sleep for the night. This lifestyle however has a cost. Fresh, open, high-altitude air is required for their health making it impossible for them to stay comfortably at low elevations thus making sleep impossible. They are also 100% vegan, eating only a plant-based diet. Thus, they would be relatively passive by nature and avoiding conflict would be there go to.

Strengths: slow falling and light bodies (quicker movement)
Weakness: cannot sleep at low elevations and vegan


Inchling: small and tricky inchlings are the smallest race and only inhabit the overworld. They go unnoticed most of the time and make communities anywhere they can fit. They favor intelligence and planning above all else. Considering they are at a size and strength disadvantage against everyone they meet, its important for them to be creative. They make traps live in hidden areas and make rather large communities they are friendly to most but not all.
Strengths: Less food required, adaptable, and can climb numerous surfaces
Weakness: low health and small size

Merling: These people are basically mermaids with legs and are completely at home in the water. They live in all Minecraft oceans especially near corals or monuments. They eat fish and hunt guardians for their fragments using tridents. Just like mermaids they are not a fan of land. The only time they will come on land is if it starts raining heavy, or they have access to a reverse water-breathing potion. Other than that, they spend their lives underwater build homes and traveling along coastlines. They themselves are content living in the ocean although some move into lakes or rivers to see what wonders could be seen on the land.
Strengths: Breathes underwater and Excellent swimmers
Weaknesses: Needs water to breath

Phantom: This race does one thing better than any other, and that is stealth. Sunlight can burn them, so they remain hidden in the shadows of the overworld, and some parts of the end. They remain mostly undetected around other races or creatures. That is until they decide they want to show themselves. Phantoms can go into a state of invisibility where they can travel through walls. In this phantom like state, they can stand in the sun however not for long. This phantom like state burns a lot of calories so at nighttime most gather lots of food if they wish to travel during daytime. Thanks to there stealth and easy access to any place they can be great thieves, assassins, or spies. They are rather mysterious by nature, most travel in packs or tribes. However, a few spend most of their life’s solitary.
Strengths: Invisibility and Phasing through objects
Weaknesses: sunlight and less health


Blaze born: the most aggressive out all the races they were born ready to fight. They live in the nether and have a hot temper mirroring the harsh and unforgiving land, they inhabit. They have a love for hot temperatures and are immune to all fire damage. This has made them a very dominant race of the Nether. They are personal a heavy warrior-based race they have a lot of ideals based on a sense of honor. Some have tried to go to the overworld and make it their home, by heating things up (burning everything), but they have extreme weakness to water and cold conditions. Water not only hurts them, but it also weakens there fighting capabilities unlike enderians and endermen. Since the overworld has abundant rain clouds and water sources, they spend most of their lives in the nether.

Strengths: increase damage while on fire, and lava immunity
Weaknesses: water and snowy based damage


Shulk: Tanky and strong they inhabit the end islands and small parts of the over world. Like there shulk relatives they have a hard shell surrounding their bodies. Also like their cousins they do not do much traveling usually inhabiting a small territory and living their long lives there. They can store a lot more than other creatures, using this ability to always keep heavy stocks of food on them. They lack fully functional grasping appendages thus they are limited in what weapons they can use. They are patient and are big isolationists they prefer to be left alone but can typically fend for themselves.

Strengths: Raw strength and storage abilities
Weaknesses: starvation and tool wielding

Arachnids: Natural hunters they live in dim forests, narrow caves, Jungles, and Dark oak woods mainly. They are distant sentient relatives to all Minecraft spiders. They are very active hunters in the dawn and at night-time but are friendlier in daytime and in well light areas. They only eat meat, so hunting is a way of life for them, though they do it with consideration. They can make webs which they can use to trap prey or build a temporary home. They are not very tanky and have three less hearts than other races or large species.

Strengths: Damage and cobwebs
Weaknesses: Three less hearts and Diet limited to meat

Elytrians: This born for air travel they have a pair of wings upon entering their world. They live in Jungles, mountains, cliffsides, and end islands. These places provide them with plenty of room to glide around. They hate tight and enclosed spaces it’s against their nature to put themselves in a situation where they can’t escape. They can boost into the air to become air borne and they are can fight well while airborne. However, they are prone to fall damage their bones are most likely very weak to help them retain their flying capabilities. Heavy armor makes it impossible for them to fly so it is not a viable option for them to wear it. They display competitive behaviors when it comes to expanding their colonies and would most likely compete in flight-based competitions very often.

Strengths: Wings and Flight based combat
Weaknesses: Fall damage, armor limitation, and Claustrophobic


Feline: To try and sum these guys up they are just big sentient bipedal cats. They scare creepers, have night vision, and take no fall damage. However, they are rather weak physically making in a struggle to gather resources and they have a little less health than other races, though others have it much worse. They are solitary as most felines are and live alone scrapping together food and a home for themselves.

Strengths: Agility, Keen eyesight, and creeper intimidation
Weaknesses: Physical strength and slightly lower health

Why did the creator of this pack decide to nerf the feline? The feline can already bypass it's mining difficulties by drinking strengh potions, that can last up to 8 minutes, why remove that? And why replace it with a "you can mine for 1 minute after drinking milk"?
