I recorded a Harmonium Solo in Waaheguru-Fearless! I hope you're enjoying the new music! #snatamkaur

Since playing with my band, I’ve gotten more into taking harmonium solos; I guess after watching them soar on their instruments (Ram Dass on piano and clarinet, Sukhmani on tabla, and Grecco on guitar), it rubbed off on me! But in the studio, I didn’t feel comfortable with that at all. When we were recording Waaheguru-Fearless there was a space for an instrumental, and something lit up inside me and told me it would be harmonium. But I was too afraid that I’d make a mistake so I kept quiet about it.

That afternoon Grecco had one of the studio mandolins and he said he was going to spend some time in his room while we tracked to learn the mandolin because he thought it would sound good on Walkin’ Into the Light. My mind was blown at that moment, but I knew he could do it. That’s when I decided I was going to practice my harmonium for my harmonium solo, GOSH DARNIT! I went into my room and practiced a harmonium solo, for HOURS! And this my friends is my FINAL take that made it onto this track that you all have now!!! P.S. For those of you who want to know, Grecco did learn mandolin and he put down some amazing phrases for Walkin’ into the Light!
