In this episode, we finally take our first steps into the Copper Age! There is metal just waiting in the ground all around us, and we are happy to relieve it of its burden!

But that's not all. While we are waiting for some of the metalworking processes to complete, we take advantage of the free time to explore around our home and investigate the ruins of a village to the southwest. What treasure lies in store for us?

I've been playing for 15 hours, not once did I think to dig under ruins, now I feel foolish, but also have my next day planned.

You know, there was a time, when you have to throw the new tools in the water to cool them down. It splashes and bubbles and it was a fun to do. So I keep on throwing. Just for the fun.
As always - nice video did you create. Thanks!

I really like the anvil metal recovery mod for making the use of hammering tool heads more viable rather than pouring them into molds because of the metal bits you recover based on the amount of voxels you break off. Its a great mod and paired with xskills where you can get a skill that give you quality tools from forging its a great way to make things more interesting and rewarding for doing it the long way.

10 episodes in and I'm glad I decided to bingewatch the first season of your vintage story guide before continuing on the second one. I love seeing the growth, both in playstyle and editing.

With the asbestos skin at least the skin colours finally make more sense.

I'd figured that i should chip in an important information in regards of blacksmithing and entering the copper age for people new to Vintage Story and watching this episode of the guide series when 1.18 stable gets released in the future!

! I have been playing on the unstable 1.18 as of the time writing this so listen up!

#1 From Vintage Story 1.18 and onwards, you need to make wooden tongs to be used in offhand slot to be able to hold and interact anything hot from the crucible, casted tool heads and ingots for smithing. This requries some sticks and flax twine which can be gathered from harvesting wild or farmed flax plants, killing drifters and getting them from cracked farming vessels in ruins.

#2 Standing on molds with hot metal liquid and pouring too close to the mold also hurts you too.

That scene. It gives chills to whomever experienced 2020 in India.

Do most ruins have basements like those, or are they specific types that do

In the 'game which shall not be named' having poor quality ore is handy. Not nice for the mining bit but easy maths for the smelting bit.

This game seems hard and emersive

When will the full version be available in steam?
