Starting a tutorial in an unstable region with a temporal distortion and wolves around. Nice 👍

I love the sound of this rain. It's relaxing as opposed to the rain sound in 1.7.10 Minecraft that sounds like TV static on rabbit ear antenna at full volume.

YouTube recommended this series to me, probably because I’m subbed to Geminitay, and at first I thought it was modded minecraft in the episode it started me on, until I caught sight of the character model. Skipping back to the first episode I ended up binge watching for hours then. (I had a tooth extraction and had nothing else to do but lay around and watch.) Now I’m hooked lol. Your series is incredibly informative, you have a soft and calming tone but also manage to keep the viewer engaged. Thank you for this series it’s single handedly made me want to purchase this title lol.

I was looking for something like this, I really prefer tutorials when done in the style of a lets play as opposed to a guide. Plus you also have a really good voice for the atmosphere of the game :3

Seeing how much things have changed since 1.16 is surprising.

Those sqaure bushes are so strange looking for instance.

Good video, great game, nice tips. Never saw (so far) a game starting with this much rain xD
Would like to add some things (maybe they are explained in the next videos, but just in case):
23:44 when reading the map, that thing at +/- -75;120;50 (the brown+yellow horizontal stripes) mark a trader (there are various types of traders each selling and buying stuff related to their type [e.g. the food one buys and sells food related items]. They re-roll their stock +/- every 5-7 in-game days).
Avoid wolfs. You can lose them by traversing water (they swim slower than you) but they can jump to you if you are near the shore (and they are on the shore). So, run away from them early till they stop chasing.
When you find copper (or any other metal) bits mark the location for later. Surface copper almost always (or always, can't remember) has a copper deposit below (wich can only be mined when you get a pickaxe...wich requires (at least) getting copper bits (or good luck with the traders :D ).

I started a world and decided I better go back and rewatch the series. It's neat watching after I've actually played it as I catch more than I did the first time.

Just found your channel by the chance. Love playing and watching this game. I’ve noticed that many content creators are playing the game, but not explaining/going into the details that make this game great.

I just want to compliment you on your story telling of the game, and how you present the game. Out of all the vintage story series, yours is by far the best!

I have only (passively) watched a couple episodes because I want my friend and I to remain pretty much blind when we buy the game for ourselves, but you've done an excellent job at making the game feel interesting. Maybe it's the kind of profound passion you're expressing, you're eagerly containing your excitement all the time.

Got your most recent video in my recommendations and knew from the first minute that I was going to love this series, so here I am watching from the start!

I really like your tone and pacing in your voice while you explain things. Also the lack of a background music adds to a very focused experience. Really enjoyed this tutorial

lol I tried.... my first day, while harvesting reeds and staying away from a temporal node (?) thing, I was attacked and killed by brown bear. Then, I made a bed and slept, only to awake to it being dark, cold, and very very windy. In search of food, I was chased by a bighorn ram that was sleeping, and finally, starving, I died again, on my second day. And, that's with monsters off for the first 10 days... lol
Well, I survived the third day though, dug out a house and made a firepit inside, collected some stuff and planted a bunch of cranberry bushes, for what it's worth.
It looks kinda like minecraft, but the gameplay is definitely more of what you expect from a survival game. Good game so far!

Very interesting! I bough the game several years ago after spending a couple of months playing TerraFirmaCraft mod but I couldn't quite get into it. I think this guide will help a lot! Thanks for making it

Wow, I'm super amazed by your content, I just found it on my recommended. Also your voice is very soothing to listen to, not over bearing like most youtubers... I look forward to this playthrough.. Good luck with your channel!
