This is how I select the antenna of choice to my radio of choice and not all radios just in the ham radio shack but other locations such as the garage, deck, and work bench area.

Great to see you again. I always enjoy your posts. Good idea using multiple locations. I use two positions too. My main rig is a FTDX 10 but I have a long Ethernet cable that allows me to operate my IC 7100 head from another room. I just move the head of the radio to where I am at the time. I hope to see you again soon.

Some nice ideas! DC power routed to your deck is handy. I need to get busy and get some switches installed in my shack for multiple radios. 73!

I really like that idea of using the same antennas but in different locations around your QTH.
That power pole cover is also a nifty idea.
Thank you. ;) 73

Nice system for multiple radio stations! The power supply connection on your porch deck is a good future idea for us here! Thanks for the idea.

Good information Larry! Some switches and a more permanent installation also save wear and tear on your radio coax connectors. That shot of your tower reminds me that the cord that controls the brake lever on my Hazer has been broken off and will need to be replaced before winter if I intend to bring the beam down. 73 Kevin

Those running portable and QRP might check out the inexpensive and light-weight consume cable/antenna switches. An F-type to BNC adapter will convert them to ham use. The one I got even has mega-ohm resistors to drain off static.

I also have a Yaesu FTdx-3000 and that antenna Alpha Detla Delta-4 antenna switch. Very useful video. 73 PY5WHO

There is a little prong on the bottom the switch that moves, I think it’s for a ground but not sure, can you tell me if that is what it is for? And if it is, where and how would I ground it?

Larry, I have a mobile ham radio and a kg1000 GMRS radio that I would like to use 1 antenna for . Can I use a Diawa 2 pole switch without hurting either radio while transmitting? I hear only 1 radio should be on at a time to keep from sending power to the other radio, is that true? These radios only put out 50 watts.
