This video describes a change in the shipping amplifiers early August 2018 and the higher input drive is required to get 1.5KW output on the low bands. This is a great follow up to Video Part #8 and will connect the dots on if you have an amplifier that does or does not require higher level drive on the low bands. In this video I describe this change related to required power input / drive from your exciter and it also shows how to revert the RF Pallet back to a state that requires far less drive on the lower bands.

Links mentioned in the video are as follows:

Kudos to Reinhard DH3NUB, Chris DL5NAM and Knut DF9QA for all the effort to make this HF . 50mhz LDMOS Amplifier kit a reality for the Amateur Radio Community. All your questions can be answered on the RF-KIT website and user forum. Enjoy de Max NG7M

Nice video. I'll ask whether or not they will be putting the 26R1 resistor in the amp I order. I've followed your video series since the beginning and enjoyed them. Thanks for putting them together. Now when are you going to do the K3 interface? LOL

Early in the video I mention that lowering the resistance in the high pass filter passes more power through... brain cramp there, I meant to say that the lower resistance filters out lower frequency input more. Increasing the resistance in that high pass filter will pass more power down at 1.8mhz... i.e. less drive required on the low bands when the resistance goes up and more power required on the low bands when the resistance goes down. I state it correctly later on in the video. Anyway... hope that clears that up. Max
