1 YEAR in the RAIN AND SNOW! Old Buffet RESTORATION.

This Buffet was left outside for a year exposed to the elements and so moulded and warped from the moisture that I wasn't sure I could rescue it.

Lovely! With everyone painting furniture these days, I’m so happy to see someone saving these pieces & bringing them back to life! Nothing more beautiful on furniture than seeing the wood grain! ❤

When you opened this piece up at first I was struck by how beautiful the wood grain was. Lovely to watch you reveal the piece in all its glory.

Очень качественная работа. А за любовь к котикам отдельный респект:)

The maker of this piece albeit crudely done, made this with heart. You gave that piece its heartbeat back.

I'm almost sure that I watched this video before, but if so, I rewatched (is that a word?) it. When you described something as ugly, I burst out laughing. I thought, "Don't hold back, Jay, tell us how you really feel." LOL 😂 I am speechless at how this piece turned out. 😮 You really revealed the beauty of the wood, both color and grain. Your treatment of the tree was imaginative and gorgeous. I can truly appreciate the hours that you have spent learning your craft and then applying both time and skill on this project. You truly are a fancy AF PROFESSIONAL. I am looking forward to your next project.

I don’t think the original maker of this buffet ever dreamed this piece could look this beautiful. The most amazing part of restorations for me is how the beauty of the furniture is in the piece the whole time, it just takes the eye and hands of an artist to help the rest of us see it the way the artist does.😊

Очень красиво. Вы поняли его суть. И он стал индивидуален. Теперь мебель в квартире надо менять под него😊

I know you said this piece isn’t made too well and there are no straight corners etc, but now, since your renovation, it looks like it’s worth a fortune. The wood grain is spectacular and the subtle colouring of the tree panel is a dynamic talking point. I’m so impressed with this piece Jay, you have captured all of its positive aspects and completely hidden the negative. Another job perfectly done xx

Only someone with your skills and patience could have saved this piece. It’s beautiful! 🌟 I’ll never understand how people who, instead of donating something, just throw it out in the weather. Excellent job of savings this!

That wood grain is incredible! Lots of hard work, but so beautiful! I was surprised the door came out that well without a steam bath. The new arrangement of the workshop seems to be working really well.

First, I thought that the tree is too flashy, then I realized that your impeccable taste did not lose you. It goes perfectly with the item and with its style! Absolutely stunning piece. Thank you for saving it and sharing with us!

I’m a retired healthcare worker and keep busy with my 4 grandkids but they’re old enough to drive now and since I’m high risk I’m passing time refinishing items and reupholstering chairs etc. Covid has started up in Texas again and I live on a ranch in a small town. My trips thrifting will have to be curbed some. My friend since we were 6 yrs old and I are widows and it gives us joy to drive to San Antonio to thrift. No thrift stores in our town. I have to spread the word that I’m looking for furniture to try to renew. My mother was born in 1911 and she and I were always refinishing, upholstering, making drapes and quilts. I miss those times with her. Thank you for your videos.👍😃
