2018 : it's a little inaccuracy
2019 : it's a blunder
2020 : it's an interesting move

I really appreciate that you cover games from non-professional players since a beginner like me can identify himself better into them and learn something that can occur in his own games! I felt like this game was much closer to me, especially for the early imprecise moves and the missed opportunities one can spot during the game.

Even if you don’t like Pog champs, the amount of free coaching that’s been given is insane, go soak it in

1:43 "tricky move" Agad trying so hard to not say that Bg4 is a terrible blunder and you can go e5 right away

It's nice to see games at our level. It will not only promote chess but it will also keep people like us to keep playing this. It kinda reminds us that no matter how ordinary chess we play there will always be someone who will enjoy it.

Thanks agad

I too play chess and strategically think before making every move. Those strategies are so excellent, that it overwhelms me with its goodness and spreads onto my opponent, so they win.

Poor Boxbox tried to channel his inner Tal by a queen sacrifice lol..the difference is, Tal proceeds to make mindblowing follow-up moves

Another very instructive game. I didn't mind for the opening too much, because, IMO it's a bit passive to put a fianchetto in g2 blocked by the pawn on e4. Of course, what you are expecting is to crash in the center and open that diagonal, but also is very easy to end up with your bishop blocked. In this game, Boxbox opened the center, but at the price of weakening his kingside. But again, he won the exchange, so, the position was very complicated and full of danger for both players.
In the final sequence, what I think happened is a normal thing that happen to every chess player, in all levels: the terrible moment when you say: "I DIDN'T NOTICE THAT". Psychologically, those moments are rife with danger, because you can easily lose your mind, and start trying to force things, more so if you thought you were winning before the move you missed. After ... Ne4! by Voyboy, winning back the exchange, Boxbox went in full panic mode, and instead of thinking: "Ok, I have to return some material, the position is complicated, let's do this", he probably thought: "Oh no, I have to attack now, or I will lose everything!". And the irony is that, by trying to make everything happen right away, he lost everything. It's the psychological aspect of the game which takes a lifetime to learn.
In this aspect, I always recommend to watch the series of "psychology of chess" by Josh Waitzkin. He always talks about these situations, in which you miss something, and your reaction is to panic, and losing even more. If your opponent makes a move you missed, your first reaction always must be to take a looong breath, and say: "Ok, I missed that, let's see what's going on now". Trying to force things in such situations is a recipe for disaster.

This Pog series you are covering is hilarious. I love it! The pointing out of strong moves still available in the position, the analysis of possible motive for weak or interesting moves... it's great. I thought I would only prefer your analysis of great players, but I was wrong. Please keep it up.

At 5:49, how about Qeen to d4 and if he takes the rook you push your pawn to e6 with check and get back the rook? Or did i miss something there?
