Chris Lindley, Chief Population Officer and epidemiologist at Vail Health, speaks with Caitlyn Ngam, infection preventionist at Vail Health, to discuss new research that indicates that multiple COVID-19 infections can have a negative impact on your immune system, and being able to fight disease (not just COVID.) Chris and Caitlyn recommend staying up on your vaccinations, masking (especially if you are immunocompromised), and maintaining healthy habits, such as rigorous exercise, to stay healthy.

My Covid-19 infection was so mild to the point it didn't bothered me at all in 2020. I donated blood to the Alberta health in 2020. Now my immune system is gone crazy because the 2 shots I was forced to take in 2021. I lost my thyroid because of my immune system. My immune system is attacking my skin and my hair now.

I used to be sick once a year sometimes every other year.
Since I took the vaccine I’m feeling like crap almost every day and am sick all the time.
The doctor can’t or won’t help me.

Wouldn’t the spike covid vaccines to the same damage to the immune system then?

I appreciate you getting this important information out, but it's absurd to suggest that vaccines matter more than masks. Furthermore, to only pitch it as "if you are in crowded areas and are immunocompromised'. Vaccines don't stop infection or long covid, masks (when the fit is correct with an N95 or KN95) can prevent all of that. If you want to not get covid, wearing an N95 is the single best thing you can do, regardless of crowd size or health status. If you are around people, indoors or outdoors, you must wear a mask to prevent you from catching covid. It's truly that simple. Covid is ruining people's health of all ages and levels for fitness/health, and framing it like only certain people really need to worry is going to lead to more suffering.
