Starting to think the issue I'm having just doesn't have a fix. The last video I watched just showed how to add a thumbnail column as a "preview" and this one strictly for "viewing" files.

I'm trying to get the "Preview" option to show when selecting the 3-dot menu for the files in document library. It works when accessing the document library itself, from Site Contents, but not when the document library is a web part on a page. It's very frustrating and hopefully there is a fix for it.

If you are using the cloud version of Sharepoint and you are using power automate to update a file regularly; however, you are using the File/Media Web Part to show the file on the page, why does it not work properly after it is updated? The file name remains the same, it is overwritten by Power Automate, but it will throw an error in the web part that says "something went wrong, ".

Very helpful, thank you. When you select multiple files I notice the File Viewer shows the last one selected which is good. Would you know why mine just shows the first file selected and does not update?

Thanks Greg. Is there a way to stop the document opening in the Browser and only through the Doc viewer web part?
The problem with connecting web parts in this way is its rather pointless because when the user clicks the document it will open in the browser. 🤷‍♂

Hi Greg. Do you know if there is any way to have interactivity within the file viewer?
I have an interactive PDF with buttons that reveal text and image but I can't seem to get it to work within the file viewer...
It was originally published from InDesign which didn't work in file viewer, then I tried a work-around by setting up the button interactivity within Acrobat instead... with no luck once uploading to sharepoint 😮‍💨

Any advice?

This feature has been removed and replaced by File and Media web part. Can this be duplicated with the latest web parts? I do not see a way.
