Engine Room Bilge Disposal
- Always consider marine pollution prevention
- Operate the 15 PPM monitoring unit and discharge bilge through the oily water separator
- During an overboard discharge, open the oil inspection cocks of the separator appropriately for checking bilge for oil content
- After completion of overboard discharge, fill the separator with seawater. Chain and lock the overboard discharge valve
- Necessary Oil Record Book entries shall be made for discharge overboard of bilges
