Ordered my new corvette 4/2/2022. So far 1Lt, because I'm cheap. This will be my 9th corvette. I'm 69 years old and don't want a car payment. Your videos have been inspiring. I'm curious how much I will be paying as far as the increases are concerned. Saw the 5 dislikes about the new corvette. BLIND spots are a concern . I'm still cheap enough to get the 1LT. I am getting the high spoiler. My dealership usually sells 2 corvettes a month. I want the senior edition corvette! Quiet as much as possible and smoother ride. No Z51. I have a 2004 Z06 with 15000 miles now. My body is changing, LOL. No louder exhaust. Did I say I was 69 years old? Always loved the corvette all my life. My needs have changed. Keep up the good work!

Mike, I tried a rural dealership here in SC and they told me they were not getting any. When I asked why, they told me because they don’t have a Corvette tech because they were not going to spend the money to have one when they see so few of them. So that’s the other edge of the sword. Thanks for the video and content.

Hello Mike, this is what makes you who you are, your true loyalty to who ever is willing to listen and your sincerity to your mission. May God continue to bless and keep you and your family and I hope to see you out on the road.

I ordered this week. The main man in Corvette sales hooked us up with Vette that was right for my family and wallet. He did great job of steering us away from things that were just overboard. What your saying about options is correct. Anything about base is overboard for normal people

Placed my C8 order Dec 2020 with a rural dealership per my specs, received car 3 months later, at msrp, was a first class experience!

Really good buying tips I agree with you a lot of things you should take into consideration when buying a Call vet

Great tips... They are all common sense. The Z51 pkg. is mentioned as an option you possibly DON'T need; & in that case is an unnecessary expense. I disagree: the base engine C8 has been dyno tested by many C8 owners after purchase. They were all putting out 525 hp+. If you do anything more than tapping the Go Pedal, the Z51 pkg. becomes a safety item. An optional brake upgrade is desirable, but VERY expensive. Me? I'd love "Option RC8" for any new one!

I absolutely love Neighbor Mark's reaction when he comes out to meet his beautiful car! That drop down to hold his knees is priceless! Brings me to tears every time lol.

Can you explain the process/answer some questions if you want to pick up the C8 at the factory/Museum in Bowling Green? 1. Do you have to go through a dealer for this process ... if so why especially if you have secured your own financing or paying outright 2. Is the freight fee still assessed 3. Are you required to get insurance at the museum, etc. Or any other insight you can share. Thanks

Mike, as always, really great information. Your tips are spot on and exactly as I did for my pre-owned "1" owner 2015 C7. My minor miss was with the dash de-laminating leather. "1" year newer and it would be a non-issue. I caught the door panel doing the same and had the dealer replace it as part of the purchase. I have some good feedback regarding the dash. Still very pleased with my purchase. C8 owners will be too! If they follow your guidance. Best to you.

Great tips! Very timely advice. I owned a 2016 C7 Vert, sold it and am now ready for a C8 HTC. Based on everything I've read, Corvette World seems like a great place to buy.

I don't necessarily think buying a modified car is a bad thing. My C8 is heavily modified and I definitely baby it. Just offering a different perspective on the subject.

Most of the dealerships in the Northeast do not add a mark-up to their cars. Van Bortel Chevrolet in Rochester is quite large and has a number of allacations. He also sells and services 3 large Corvette Clubs in up state NY.

Holiday Chevrolet is now a gouger. I wouldn’t buy from them. My C8 from Britain Chevrolet in Greenville, Texas is awaiting shipping at MSRP. NEED has nothing to do with buying a Corvette, get all you can AFFORD to upgrade resale value. If you’re a first time Corvette buyer, you’ll never regret getting all the options you can afford. Never buy based on so called “need”, there is no such thing on a Corvette. These so called rules apply to any high value, low production vehicle.

MSRP = Patience.
This is coming from a guy who has waited 22 months for MSRP.

Sorry. These are bad tips. First off, everyone is buying a C8 because its a fun toy. Its not a necessity!. An avg practical car (Civic or a Corolla) might be a basic necessity. Customers will add options that make them HAPPY!. Isn't that why you're buying yourself a C8?? Its not a practical decision folks thats what makes it fun to own. Lol

I disagree with your MSRP reference for used C8. The used C8 market is flooded just look at your recent video of corvette world. The entire inventory show room is packed with C8’s and everyone wants to get there hands on the ZO6. In the next 1-2 years the corvette prices for used vettes will drop. It all depends how patient you are. Supply and demand. And there is more supply than demand now. Plus factor in inflation and an inevitable recession. That’s my two cents

If you think the C8 stingray is hard to get the Z06 will be even harder and I would be really surprised if you can buy one at MSRP. One thing to think about on options is a higher option car has much better resale value. For me it was well worth getting the HTC and Z51 that was a 1LT than spending a bunch of money on upgraded interior packages that are very expensive. I buy Corvette’s for the price for performance value. Not for luxury.
