Radio broadcaster Ray Hadley has called for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to spend more than five hours in the Northern Territory and speak to business owners about “the basket case that is Alice Springs”.

Mr Hadley said the Prime Minister is so “enraptured” by the Voice, it doesn’t suit his narrative to address the issues in the Northern Territory.

“Even Labor MP Marion Scrymgour is saying today, ‘we have got to change it’,” he told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“She’s calling for the change, and the best he can do, the Prime Minister, is say, ‘well, I respect her, I’m going to talk to her very soon about what she wants’.”

Getting Queen Albo to spend more than five hours anywhere in Australia would be an achievement. Seems to spend most of his time trissing around international cocktail (cough) parties

Just tell him the Australian open tennis is playing in Alice and he’ll spend 10 hours there

How will the 5 eyes be able to monitor world communications at the Alice Springs "space base" without adequate electricity?

I have worked at liddel power station as a contractor, what I have seen is the place is hanging together on a shoe string. It is worn out. Power stations were originally designed for 50 years operation. It becomes extremely expensive to maintain them as time goes by. Eraring has had better maintenance, yes I have also worked there, and is in much better condition. It should be able to run for 60 to 70 years.

AnAl's favourite picture with him and the Airbus. I'm surprised he doesn't have the rainbow flag on the side

ANZAC DAY is a line for all true blue Australians to draw in the sand.
It should unlawful for any person to conduct a “Welcome to Country” ceremony on ANZAC DAY.
Ex-service and current members of the Australian Defence Forces should not be publicly treated as if their just foreign soldiers standing upon the soil on which they were born.
Welcome to Country messaging on ANZAC DAY is a public insult to these men and women who have served past and present and to those that have fallen for the sake of all Australians.
The laws in Australia which restrict and prohibit certain activities on ANZAC DAY need to be updated in respect of due honour and observance from all Australians on ANZAC DAY.

This Prime Minister needs to go, he promised cheaper electricity last election, he also promised tax breaks for small businesses. Instead, come July we will all pay 30% more for power and low-income earners 70 to 120k will be taxed more. Renewables simply do not work, closing down these power stations before we have something to replace them is just crazy. It's like selling something that doesn't yet exist. I'm not stupid either the amount of wealth in our ground should see us one of the lowest taxed countries in the world, instead, we are officially the highest taxed country in the world. The only answer Albo has is more tax, liberal doesn't have any answers either. What's the answer? scrap this pommy government, this Lib/Lab is just a merry-go-round.

We are seemingly heading down the same road as South Africa which experiences up to 12 hours DAILY of power cuts thanks to incompetent management. This is causing undue hardship for millions of citizens and is wreaking havoc on the economy.
