In loving memory of Giannis "Sporos" Stamatiou
This is a finger-burning-hell-of-a-workout and amazing song originally written by Giannis "Sporos" Stamatiou. He was one of the greatest bouzouki players of all time. I knew the track many years before and always enjoyed practicing it on the guitar,loved the sound of it. So a while back,recording with composer-arranger-keyboardist-guitarist Bob Katsionis (Firewind,Outloud) he heard me playing it and urged me to cover it! (He also produced and wrote the rest of the instruments)
There you go,that's the background.
I also teach it to my students sometimes as a picking exercise (the verse part) but that's another story!
