HOW CAN A SONG MAKE ME DANCE AND CRY AT THE SAME TIME?!!!!

That part where the song pulls back the music and you just hear Lorde singing like it was literally just recorded in her room and then she lets out the primal scream is amazing. Absolutely great song all around.

The outro DEMOLISHES me. "In my head, I do everything right" are probably the saddest words I've ever heard.

i love this because its talking about love and the end of a relationship but its not like there was a big massive fight and singing about missing ur ex but its singing about the fading away of love and feelings and a beautiful relationship at the start turning grey and tasteless

The concept of a 'supercut' is used so well in this song. The best way to pinpoint the highs and lows when leaving a relationship.

That faded out outro. This supercut of us will fade out, in the end.

This song is absolute genius. It makes me ugly cry!! Just the way she describes a fleeting memory as a supercut. Literally she's saying that she can only capture their love in quick movie trailers. That's all that's left. 30 second snapshots.

I don't know why but I'm obsessed with the little "uh" she does right after "wild and fluorescent come home to my heart" at 1:32

The last part of the song feels so fucking nostalgic, it's like we could be inside of her mind floating with all her emotions and feelings, swimming and drowning with them, it's a sound from other world.

She spoke for Palestine. She addressed our grief in one of her late concerts. I have always admired her and it would sound an exaggeration if I say that I haven't yet stopped listening to Melodrama since 2017. And now she has my sincerest admiration and support. I love it so much when an Artist speaks for the truth despite all restrictions. Thank you Lorde.

i had been sleeping on this album for months - i didn't know who she was, I only knew of her from royals (a song that was too overplayed for me to enjoy anymore).
i finally forced myself to listen and i didn't enjoy it much, i liked a song but that was it. when shit went down and i willingly chose to listen to her, i fell in love. her music is truly captivating and brilliant, but you need to be open to that to enjoy it.

i slept on melodrama for too long and missed the concert in my city. i can never do that again😭

When she says "in my head I do everything right", "when you call I forgive and not fight", and "come home to my heart" it made me come back to my ex and our relationship but the "in my head I do everything right" part it makes me relate to me and my life.
