Hey Reed, In German Channels they mentioned if you define events in the aqara hub you can feed these as a matter devices into Home Assistent. The Germans really celebrate this great way to trigger automations really vary options.

I think part of the confusion here with matter is that since it also acts as an aqara hub for aqara devices, the camera will matter bridge into other ecosystems and bring all of the devices connected along with it. Remember that cameras aren't supported yet with matter.

Regarding the download part: I've a G4 dorrbell camera and, as can also be seen in the video, you've the option to save the footage to a NAS - see 4:27 . Not the direct way but should be possible.

I am so glad you went into the detail regarding the subscription service and how we can't download the video without said subscription. I moved from a suite of subscription based cameras to Eufy where I completely control the Homebase storage.

I agree! I've got 4 of them now. I use them mostly for wildlife. The night color vision is on a par with the Wyze V4. The DETECTION is NOT as good as Wyze V4, but having POE makes the video footage so much more fluid and stable than Wi-Fi! Next, I'm going to look into either the Blue Iris or Synology storage. Thanks for the review!

I have the POE version and it has the best night vision of all the cameras I have. I'm using it inside. Arlo Pro 2, Eufy pro 2, Lorex POE system, an Abode system. The Aqara has the best night vision by
