Disney Dreamlight Valley Early Access Review

An awesome life simulator that flexes its iconic characters to riveting, satisfying effect. Adding these instantly recognizable villagers to your magical kingdom and forging friendships with them through quests is a blast, even when many of those amount to mundane village errands. Even with a ton of bugs and a missing final act in this early access state, spending 40 hours running around with the gloriously beefy Maui from Moana and cooking meals with Remy from Ratatouille is a consistently delicious treat.

It's like a Disney version of "MySims" instead of the regular sims.
Honestly, this should've been a Kingdom Hearts spinoff. All the Disney worlds are connected and the hero has to cleanse the darkness in the castle? It's basically Kingdom Hearts x Animal Crossing.

Reminds me of toontown in a way.... always wondered why disney wouldn't have brought that game to console. I'm sure it would've lasted through time.

Only 2hrs in and yes I’m already hooked! The concept is what keeps you hooked and it being Disney themed. But lol the story for this game is the same as the Disney channel movie Halloween town 2! Exact same concept storyline hell Halloween town was grey as well. And the town mayor was behind it all!

It's not just that the environments look claustrophobic, the camera is so dang close it makes it look that way. The game still looks like it needs numerous graphical improvements and some better animations. I'm still interested in checking it out once it leaves early access though.

I’d like a game like Disneyland adventures, but in all of Walt Disney world. More like a vacation simulator. Ride the rides, stay in hotels, maybe quests just take you to different parks idk.. be cool
