The cop ended up losing his job because he took his buddy cop word that he threatened him. The video showed the driver flipping the cop off and the cop getting his feelings hurt, calling in back up over a threatening middle finger.

I remember this was a case of the officer he flipped off lying over the radio and said that the guy threatened him. The officer who pulled the guy over was acting on that information and had no first hand knowledge of the encounter. I think the first officer who was flipped off needs to face some sort of criminal or civil consequences; he deliberately abused his authority to create a situation that would result in an unlawful detainment, and potentially an unlawful arrest and possible violence against this man.

The officer is the one making threats of physical violence. The citizen is correct. Nobody threatened any officer.

I pointed out in the full video, while this detective was fired, it didn't seem he was fired over this arrest. He didn't care for his bosses and spoke out against him. His Lt. in the video got that job over him so he was probably still butt hurt. I love a bad cop off the force but I hate they can act like this and not get fired for it.

I spent 40 years, has a Texas Police Officer, started in 1979, now retired. If I had a dollar for every time I was flipped off or cussed, I would be rich. The problem is some of these officers nowadays need to grow up and know the law and stop using their feelings to make bad judgments and bad arrests.
