We just stepped off a wonder Alaskan cruise on the Majestic Princess with a group of 150 people. Once I got home a few people in my group began letting me know they caught covid while on the ship.

Have to tell you, my husband has been in end stage kidney failure and battling chronic leukemia for 4 years now. But he still goes on! At 81 you'd expect him to just give up, but he says he doesn't feel it's his time yet. He needs a lot of care from me, which I'm glad to do, but we are definitely savoring the time we have. Attitude has a lot to do with health.

People still have to maintain hygiene, washing your hands, and social distancing even. Wiping down things. We always wash our hands before going to the buffet. We now even wash our hands again after handling the tongs, and before eating. Come on people. Do the right thing.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people do not wash hands/sanitize, cover mouth when coughing, etc. A little prevention goes a long way.

About 3 weeks ago my wife and I took our first cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the seas. When ever we went to the Wind Jammer buffet, hand washing was required and there was always an attendant present at the entrance making sure that everyone was washing up before entering. We were very happy to see this.

I’m a transplant patient so I’m very careful with germs for years now. However the day I came home my grandson came down with Covid and me the next day. The other five people on this cruise with us were fine!!
I know I caught it from this loving boy who was hugging me etc. ♥️ Since he was literally ALL over the ship exploring every floor it’s no surprise. NCL was cleaning everything every day too. It just happens.

Your experience sounds like what we saw on our last cruise. We stopped to wash our hands when entering the buffet, and people passed right by looking at us like we were doing something wrong. Over and over again, meal after meal. Only one time did we share the wash up basins with another passenger. So sad!

Just got off Anthem of the Seas and you could hardly get into buffet without washing hands as they had two washy washy crew member forcing guests into washing stations on the way into the buffet.

Our grandkids caught the norovirus on our cruise 3 weeks ago. We kept them with us the first few days then we let
Them go to the kids camp. That night the sickness started and they were diagnosed with it. Please keep the toys kids share sanitized!

You forget the obvious, don't pack the elevators! On the Enchanted last month I felt like people were trying to break a world's record for the number of people in the elevator. Smash in like sardines like the ship was sinking. So unnecessary

I'm so sorry to hear of the people on your Group Cruise that came down with Covid. I'm really surprised that so many people of that cruise were seen not washing their hands prior to going into the buffet. I've been on a number of Royal cruises since Covid and I see few, if any, people NOT washing their hands. However, I'm sure that it must happen. Regardless, hygiene is the main issue and for some reason, people just don't get it. "Washy, Washy!"

Princess needs to reinforce washing of hands. Just after Covid they had stewards standing at the buffet entrance to mandate people coming in to wash their hands. They need to start doing that again.

Don I came home and by Tuesday I felt I caught a cold. Sneezing, coughing, etc.
After this video I just tested positive.
My wife feels the same, she'll test next.
We are both fully vaxed and boosted so I'm not worried, but now I'm concerned about my exposure to others since then.
It's been a week since we got home so our isolation will be done this week.

I caught Covid on my last cruise! Our Head Waiter in the dining room disappeared about half way through the cruise without a good explanation. On the flight back home I wasn’t feeling well. When got home, I took a Covid test and it was positive. My son or table mates didn’t catch it, thank goodness! But, my Facebook group started posting a few days later that lots of them tested positive for Covid too! 😢

I like the Majestic cruise ship because the sinks are right at the entrance of the Buffet dining area

It was ingrained in me to wash my hands and use sanitizer long, long before COVID.

I only seem to come back from a Princess cruise sick. Nearly died coming off Sapphire Princess. Never a problem on any of my Celebrity cruises. They need to do more to protect passengers!
