Показать описание
Marvin Toliver is many things: a social worker, an optimist, a radical thinker, and a catalyst for change within historically marginalized communities. How? By encouraging his peers to eschew generations of learned behavior, and working to break the cycle of generational trauma. He outlines his vision and the steps he’s taken to put his words into meaningful action.

His approach is progressive, self-determining and unconventional. I respect how Marvin thinks critically about issues of culture, manhood, patriarchy, racism and sexuality without imposing his personal beliefs on his clients. I've recommended him to a friend.

I want this video to go on. I guess I'll look for books he's written, TED talks he's been on

In my own personal experience through life, I have found that social work has been female dominated. It's good to see men are interested as well. My experiences with female social workers have not been good, either. They seem to be more interested in splitting up a family than resolving problems.

In the description down below... needs a 'that'. Like a hidden picture, where should it be placed...?

As my Pastor always says, " If the barn needs painting, paint it, lol.

Once I hear the term cis-men I immediately tune-out. Can’t take these cry-babies seriously
