Ok, here are my questions... (1) since YouTube says in the reach tab that if we want to increase our impressions we should work on increasing our CTR & view duration... will the shorter view duration caused by introducing shorts to the channel cause YouTube to show the rest of our videos less??? That’s the main thing that scares me. Especially since our average view duration is over an hour... that less than a minute view duration from shorts would have a MASSIVE impact on our AVD... what are your thoughts there? Of course I’ve thought about starting a separate channel called SoakStream shorts, and just featuring both channels, but I’m just not sure that would make sense in our case...?. (2) do you think that shorts are great for small channels but negative for semi large channels? As in, do you think people who are used to seeing 8 hour videos on our channel will be turned off by us adding shorts? I was thinking of using shorts essentially as TikTok style previews of our content, giving people a peaceful 59 seconds out of their day, and mentioning in text towards the end of the short that we have long form peaceful videos for them to use for sleeping, etc. whenever they want. And I could see where that could have a space on the shorts platform, but I wonder if it would negatively throw off our current subscribers, causing potential unsubs, less CTR, etc... what do you think?

12:24, I think they have pretty much fixed the glitch that used to happen to me but maybe it is because the numbers change so fast that YouTube miscalculates sometimes.

I posted a few shorts advertising my long-form content on my channel, and what's really cool to see is that videos I haven't advertised in shorts are actually getting more views, which is pretty awesome!

if a person has uploaded more than 2k videos in his channel, suddenly youtube demonetize his channel saying for reused content, then how he know which video is reused? Is there any technique or tool to find out among so many videos???
