I found many interviewers directly contradicted this fear mongering bullshit. we want you to know that as residents we are doing all your work for you and you should be grateful. We are interviewing you.

While representing everyone well is great. That does create a passive aggressive issue that you will not be able to handle during any emergency nor pandemic. So we want people to represent themselves sooner than pose for others. Their skills should represent their training gained.
