One thing I love about KLK is that Ryuko’s goals never change once throughout the series, they evolve but her ultimate goal never sways and she achieves all she wants to, and I’m so glad they don’t shoehorn in an icky love interest on the side for her to deal with. The show is about family bonds and friendship, about a girl beginning as a lone wolf then having two besties (and maybe an adoptive pair of siblings) in Mako and Senketsu, then a full on family with the Mankanshokus and Satsuki.

Kill La Kill is one of the most stylish, well produced, fantastically written anime that I have seen and will never recommend to / watch in a room with anyone else.
