"Causal"lly I agree... if casual is a semipro or a guy with no knowledge of photography. Z30 offers a lot for a very large range of people.

This will be my 4th Nikon with two zooms. I shaved more than 3p.- 1, 5kg from my first camera bag 😀 I feel at home with less than 1kg !!!

I love that the form factor is so close to the Olympus EM5 Mark III but it seems like this is a lot more vlogger friendly. I still prefer the look of the Olympus. The Nikon doesn't have IBIS but this is more than good enough.

I love this Z30, I like Compact Cameras and I used Point and Shoot Cameras to have with me at all times. But it is so great to see that segment evolve into APS-C Mirrorless Cameras with Interchangeable Lenses, yes they are a little bit bigger and heavier (So less compact), but the trade off is absolutely worth it.

I have a question! Which camera has better stabilization while walking/walking and talking? Nikon Z30 with the kit lens or Sony ZV-1 Mark 2? I know that you tested both cameras. I wanna get a camera in the future for YouTube content creation (indoor videos such as gaming, unboxings, reactions as well as travel videos for my international travel channel) and I care a lot about stabilization, beside 4K quality, really good autofocus and the fact that the camera shouldn't be big, should be small and compact. I love the Sony ZV-1 M2 but maybe the Nikon Z30 has better stabilization. Thanks! :)

nice review. i had a z50 but the flip-UP screen on that one was very weird. i got rid of it. z30 looks like a perfectly balanced camera for photo- and video-work. if i get this one, i could finally throw away my GoPro that I shoot most of my YouTube vids with ;)

I love the design, but the view finder is a bit of a deal breaker. They should at least have made it possible to mount an external one for photography purposes.
