3 days ago was my final exam. I was so anxious when I arrived in my school, I honestly thought I was going to throw up from the stress, before the exam started. I asked to go to the bathroom just in case, and when I reached the restrooms I almost couldn’t hold it anymore, I had never been so nervous in my life before. When I closed the door, I tried to calm myself down. Long and slow breathing and all of that. And then I remembered this exact video. I remembered the peace it brought to me each time I listened to it in my bed, to help me sleep. Then, I immediately reached my phone in my pocket and searched for this video. And as I was hoping, it really calmed down my mind. In seconds, I was ready to get out of the restrooms and go to the exam room with my classmates. I think I nailed the test, I’m still waiting for results but I’m very confident about it. And for that, I will always be grateful to you, mademoiselle. If your video didn’t exist, I don’t know what would’ve happened to me. This final exam is my last hope, and thanks to you I passed it. Again, thank you so much.

As someone who has recently underwent major heart surgery, and is currently recovering from that, hearing this… I’m very grateful to be alive and well.

Update: It’s been a few months and I’m doing a lot better now. Still trying to get used to having a mechanical valve ticking every heartbeat, and I’ve been limited to what I can do because of the mechanical valve until further notice.

I used to believe that being an adult would be easier than being a kid. I feel that I never truly cherished what I had before it was gone..
While I do yearn for what I lost, I also yearn to move forward. I'm afraid of what the future holds, but every once in awhile, I stop and breathe. I know that its impossible to stay stuck in one place forever. Wherher the parting of leaving lasts only a short while, or forever is up to me. Somedays I come back to my childhood memories and I just reflect. Like I'm doing now haha. The point I'm making here is that it's okay to stop and reminisce. The key is making sure to remember the good times in life. While it might be difficult, keep your head up. Don't give up when the going gets tough, use that experience to grow, rest and heal, but also learn to move on.
