A Strawberry Patch From Scratch~ Part 1 Planting Bare Root Strawberries

This year I plan to start a dedicated strawberry patch from scratch! This week my bare root strawberries arrived in the mail, so it's time to get them into some soil to start growing. Currently, my new garden area is not ready for planting, so I am using a large planter box to temporarily plant my bare root strawberries so they don't dry out or die. Since this is temporary, I have spaced the plants much closer than they should be. SUBSCRIBE to my channel to follow my strawberry growing journey from bare root to fruit this year.

I started my 100 plant strawberry patch with bare root plants I got from Etsy, usually in bundles of 12-25. Every batch I ordered produced big healthy plants except for one batch of 25 that were a little rotten and shouldn't have been shipped. My point is that this is a great economic way to start strawberry plants.
