About Battle of the Bulge: Theatrical Release December 16, 1965
In the winter of 1944, the Allied Armies stand ready to invade Germany at the coming of a New Year. To prevent this occurrence, Hitler orders an all out offensive to re-take French territory and capture the major port city of Antwerp.

Battle of the Bulge shows this conflict from the perspective of an American intelligence officer as well as from a German Panzer Commander as this Belgian front offensive could turn the tide of World War II.

Henry Fonda, Robert Shaw, Robert Ryan, Dana Andrews, George Montgomery, Charles Bronson and Telly Savalas star in this spectacular recreation of the true and crucial campaign.

Yes, the tanks are M47 Pattons. Chill people. This was a film that was made in an era before the internet autist brigade could fact check every item of kit on every extra. For what it's worth it's an entertaining film from a bygone era of Hollywood war movies. Enjoy it for what it is 👍

If ever a movie was screaming for a proper remake, this has to be at the top.

Apparently, all the critics think you could just go down to the panzer tank U-Haul and rent tanks to make the movie😅

Telly Savalas played that one character throughout his entire career

The only thing accurate about this movie is that there actually was a "Battle of the Bulge." The equipment used is the very least of it. You've gotta love the blue skies, when the battle actually took place during the worst winter the Europe had experienced in over twenty years.

As a kid/teen whenever this movie came on TV, I watched it. My father was there in the Ardennes. He never forgot how he and his buddy Bowman survived a Tiger Tank shooting the tree they were hiding behind. One of the very few war stories he would tell.

It was a great movie at the time. Remember these movies were only shown on TV ONCE a year usually at 1130 on a Saturday night. When you saw it in the TV guide you were stoked and couldn't wait

This film may be a fictional retelling of World War 2 history, but it is truly 100% entertaining and dramatic.

I’m more than happy with the great actors featured in it. What a cast.

I love how everybody’s nitpicking the film. It’s not a documentary. It’s not a training film. Do you think there was just hundreds of panzer tanks laying around that Hollywood could use? Just enjoy the movie or change the channel.

I have it on DVD and still enjoy watching it.

Whilst this a film adaptation… I cannot imagine the actual battle it must have been hell on earth for soldiers and that’s why I will not forget the fallen those that survived or those that still defend us everyday everywhere !

Attack of the German M47's. Yeah, despite the inaccuracies, still one of my favourite WWII movies. Especially the big tank battle at the end.

My dad participated in that battle. He wrote a letter to his dad which he kept where it reads: Dad, war is hell.

Historically accurate? Not a bit. But I've loved this movie since i was a child. I'm 57 years old and this always makes want to break out my army men and tanks. Wish i still had them.
