In this episode JP the bee-man rescues a big colony of honey bees that had taken residency underneath a wooden platform sitting directly on the ground in Kenner, Louisiana.

JP the bee-man is a beekeeper & live honey bee removal expert having successfully removed & relocated literally thousands of honey bee colonies that had taken up residency in unwanted places such as people's homes, businesses, trees, bird houses, duck & squirrel boxes, hot tubs, boats, truck tires, BBQ pits, gas tanks, diesel engines, etc...

JP routinely travels 100 miles or more from Metairie, Louisiana but will literally go just about anywhere to deal with bees & other critters.

Successfully removing & relocating honey bee colonies involves extensive knowledge of the biology of honey bees as well as construction knowledge of residential & commercial structures.

Thank you for watching & you have a fantastic day!

So glad to see you up and working love! I know you've had a couple of bad years healthwise in a row, hope both your hands and forearms are feeling much better and making working easier and less painful. I missed your smiling sonsie face!

I'm always amazed that despite all that chaos, you manage to find the queen.

That was one very active queen. She was moving, big time.

I like that you pointed out the queen. It's sometimes hard to see her when all the bees are on the catcher thank you.

Nicely done video, great capture. They sure looked like a pretty calm bunch. They did not seemed to be getting snagged in the back of your head in your hair like they do me. Bee 🐝 looking for the next one.

That hive was so big and dense, I'm surprised you didn't use a bee vac.

Is there any difference in quality between old comb compared to new comb?
I've been watching your videos for a while and it seems like you tend to transfer more of the new comb over to the nuc and throw away more of the old comb.
Does it breakdown over time? Do the bees replace comb as it goes black?
