Thursday June 2 2022 at 2.02. Kingston is 10 miles south-west of central London. The drive starts in Penrhyn Road outside Kingston University and passes the now empty County Hall and Kingston Crown Court on the left. It goes over College Roundabout into Wheatfield Way which becomes the east end of Clarence Street. It passes Kingston Station and at the start of the Wood Street underpass it fades out and restarts further along the road on Kingston Bridge. It goes under the John Lewis store and passes The Bentall Centre with its walkway from the multi storey car parks. When we reach the Wood Street underpass it again fades out and continues further along as it goes under the railway bridge by Kingston station. It then turns into Cromwell Road, passing the Bus Station, Tiffin Boys and Kingston Grammar Schools. When the road joins Wheatfield Way again, it fades out. It restarts in the High Street next to the River Thames with a view of Kingston bridge. It passes the Rose Theatre on the left and the police station on the right and the entrance to the Market Place as it bears right into Eden Street. It ends as we turn right into St James Road the other end of which joins College Roundabout.

The Old Post Office site is huge - I moved away two years ago and they were only just starting work on it. Also, Boris Buses on the 111 route! Might make it less uncomfortable late in the evening. Other than that, nice to see the area again, the last bit (High Street and the riverside) is much more pleasant than the earlier bits.
