Bead on a Rotating wire - (Lagrangian Mechanics)

preview_player
Показать описание
A particle of mass m is free to slide on a thin rod / wire. This wire rotates in a plane about an end at constant angular velocity. Obtain the solution of motion for the particle (bead). Ignore gravity and friction.

In this video I obtain the solution to the above problem using Lagrangian Mechanics..

Sir here if i have to check fo degree of freedom of bead and Rod separately then how should i check the same(without looking at lagrangian) ?

Why dont we have taken the moment of inertia of rod in kinetic energy expression?
