My Crypto Mining Solar Build | FULL GUIDE

Today we Build a DIY Solar Panel System for Crypto Mining! This was my first attempt at building solar panel system in general and it is actually working fantastic for Crypto Mining. I was extremely unsure about this idea and slightly nervous on how to wire this all together. This ended up being much easier than I expected and it turned out Fantastic. I cannot wait to see how much money I will save on electricity Crypto mining like this; Enjoy!

hey you most likely have this covered but just make sure the strings that are paralelled together have the same voltage
if they are different manufacturers they may have different voltage temperature coefficients. solar panel voltages change with cell temperature. +-5% is no problem

few notes about the project 1) battle born are great and the best but very over priced. Server Rack batteries are like half the price 2) not sure if growatt supports automatic power transfer without interruption to the grid after the batteries are drained. propably they do but in general, Victron multiplus is the king for quality and other bells & whistles like maintained apps for remote access / api. 3) connecting the solar panels in series means if any panel is partialy shaded, the whole amp drops for all panels

If you don't have a resistor, you can use an old incandescent light bulb for pre charge.

That is awesome to see. I just got my solar panels hooked up this weekend. Now I need to get everything moved inside to its permanent location and start powering some stuff. Debating on what charge controller/inverter to go with. Right now I just have an EPEver controller and a Giandel 2000watt inverter. Right now I just have my fridge and a large fan being ran off grid. I found I had about 500 watts worth of fans to keep my rigs cool but my large battery isn't ready to be installed yet. That is a lot of $$$ I don't want to spend just for fans. Thanks for the video and keep up the hard work. I need to get me a trailer or something.

Another option is avoid 120v, get low voltage power supply and avoid the double conversion dc-ac-dc. Great project!

I have 1.8kw solar and my setup is almost 10yrs old. I have 4 group 31 deep cycle batteries wired for 24 volt with a 3kw sine wave inverter and 5kw charge controller. some day I'd like to upgrade to a 48v 120/240. I have a transfer switch controlled by a smart switch so I can switch over to solar when the sun is out. I never though about trying to see how many miners i could run 24/7.

That PDU is a "switched PDU", meaning you can remotely control each outlet via ethernet web page. The PDU has a little web server which you can log into and you can then remotely control each outlet and set schedules or do manual on/off.

Nice start (because you'll always want more battery and solar panels!)

I built a 48v 350ah battery a couple years ago and have 8 400w solar panels out back. My mining rig draws a steady 700w and if I have a sunny day every other day then I can run it 100% on solar. The battery drains about 35% overnight.

I built the setup to run the house, but why not mine on it!

I want to find a crashed EV and get the battery out of that to expand, and get more panels. Where i live the winters suck.
