i think the camaro /challenger duo was better than the MR2s... i can't imagine those macho big dudes driving an mr2 😂 plus it's a nice break of pace and perfectly reflects their characters 🎉

At least the nissan 350z was used in tokyo drift. Its probably better that it was used in tokyo drift because that cars handling is extremely good at drifting.

I always wondered why there was just a random Shelby Cobra included in the original toy line. Now, it makes sense. As cool as it looks, I think it was a good call scrapping it. It's too "classic" if that makes sense. It sticks out hard compared to the mostly modern selection of cars.The only role I could see it fitting without looking out of place is as a one-off background car parked outside of Verone's mansion, kinda like the "Ferrari in the driveway."

Saw a lot of 7th Gen Celica in the old footage. I wonder what would've happened if it made a bigger appearance other than being a background car.
