Cole’s energy in this Interview is exactly how we fans feel. Lost dazed and confused

I’m a dodger fan, but I have so much respect for Gerrit Cole. One of the best pitching performances I have witnessed in years

I've already processed and absorbed this loss, knowing that watching Game 6 in LA Yamamoto against Rodon would have put me in heart collapse.

5:35 you can see how he's hurt over the 5th inning performance deeply. He's an upbeat hardworking team player and that entails in his response after the timestamp, but he was heartbroken.

Love you Gerrit. Thank you for working so hard for us. <3 next season we come back even stronger..

Honorable responses from a guy in a very tough moment and press conference

wise advice. keep moving forward. what a tough interview to have to do in a state like this. I feel so heartbroken for them, but I know they will be back, and I hope it gives them fuel to rise again.

That 5th inning was a microcosm of who this team has been all year. The only thing missing was bad base running. These guys fold at the first sign of adversity. Cole deserves a real team around him.

We could not have asked for more from Gerrit Cole. The defense failed him. Over 100 pitches and he came back out after that messy inning to try to keep them in it. I’ve said that the Yankees get in their own way and that continues to be true.

losing isn't the worst part. it's the 4 months hiatus until spring training rolls around to re-live it

His defence let him down but he could have done himself a favour by covering first base like he should have.

I'm from Germany and follow and watch MLB since the early 90's. What a interview after such a emotional game. Respect to Gerrit Cole!!!Objective comment: When I understand the baseball game is the pitcher responsible for to run to the first base. He should try at least. So I don't understand his comment about the first base error. But the drama starts with the error from Aaaron Judge. And the defense of the Yankees let Cole down. Ends with the catcher interference.
Subjective Comment: Lot of respect and what for guts to pitch after this dramatic 5th inning! Gerrit Cole takes responsibility for his team in the Game and after the Game!!! What a emotional interview. Wish he play next season with a team that not let him down. Great guy. You call him the Ace right? Not without a reason I guess 😉

He is such a class act we should be proud to have him. Hopefully he doesn’t opt out of his contract and continues to honor us with his talent and warrior like mentality. He’s been a wonderful Yankee since day one.

If I said it once, I've said it a million times. This man is my ace. It pains me to see the defense fail around him and whether or not he runs to first, he never should've been in that position in the first place. To watch the fans give him a standing ovation was awesome and he left it all on the field. We salute you Cole.

It was almost like a comedy skit how they calmly jab Cole relentleslly lol. Good job Cole on answering questions & pitching in the game but I'm also glad he helped the Dodgers win.

You could feel his pain. I don't know of many players in any sport who could've been so composed, after what had just happened. He made 38 pitches in that 5th inning to get 6 outs, and then came right back out in the 6th. Respect, bro!

Gerrit Cole is a class act! He did not throw his teammates under the bus when errors occurred but he tried to pick up his teammates when facing adversity. WS creates enormous pressure on the players to perform. We are all not perfect. I just hope the fans will give these players a chance to learn and grow from this event.
