Teammates are supposed to talk shit to each other. Which is good, it drastically helps progression. (My stunt team, we talked SO much shit to each other. Which was the biggest contribution to our skills) But a teammate NEVER rats and points fingers at their partner!

I'm glad for your take on this, Joe. What you say is true, and Americans especially, who have no notion of the sport and little or no interest (until LA won his 5th or 6th Tour in a row for US Postal team!), dumped on him like he was the worst. Much more than Bonds or Sosa, who were 'roiding in front of God and the commission for years.
I followed Lance in the off-season, watching him do climbs up the Rockies in snowstorms, and riding most of every stage he'd be racing on in the Tour. This guy was f**kin dedicated, and a good sportsman to his team and rivals. He'd stop the peloton until a fallen rider could catch up on several occasions. EPO wasn't some magic rocket fuel that made Joe Schmo into a champion, it was an edge used by all the top riders to win in a sport that can come down to seconds after 3 weeks and 2000 miles.

Cadel Evans, do you know who he is ? He’s the clean rider that came in 3rd 5th 8th 4th and when these drug cheats were caught win the Tour de France, lance robbed this guy of money, trophies and most of being classed the greatest cyclist of all time, the fact you don’t know his name is why lance should never get those awards back

If you watch the tour, you will recognize a group somewhere in the last 3rd of all cyclists.

They make their own race, they are not doped and they know they will never be in the 1st 3rd, but they are proud of their times even more than the first cyclist.
