Performance anxiety might have been some athletes' issue. This is different and needs psychological intervención, versus inexperience. Inexperience can impact performance, but is less debilitating than performance anxiety. Shelly was inexperienced to some extent and got gold in 2008.

As I look on from a far, successive sporting administrations in Jamaica through the years, have mismanaged with gross incompetence yet little or no accountability. We as a people accept too much unprofessional and mediocre representation of these people duties and positions. Until we stand for accountability and true professional undertaking of their duties to our country, nothing changes and we continue to repeat the same things looking for a different result. This "lack of runners" to compete in the Olympic 4x100 relays is a GOOD thing for Jamaica. If they pull it off and WIN, the "NARRATIVE" will be "JAMAICA". They left off the country's first Hammer Throw qualifier and also Brian Level who won the 200m and also made the 4x100m.
